SAN DIEGO UNIFIED BUDGET IMPACTS ON ACADEMICS DISCUSSED BY DEPUTY
SUPERINTENDENT

WHAT: Discussion of higher class sizes and other impacts on expected $141
million budget reduction for 2011-12 school year by Nellie Meyer, Deputy
Superintendent, San Diego Unified School District

WHEN: 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 12, 2010

San Diego Unified's Deputy Superintendent for Academics, Nellie Meyer, will
discuss the report she will deliver to the Board of Education on Tuesday
night outlining the impacts of the anticipated $141 million budget reduction
for the 2011-12 school year. Cuts include layoffs of teachers, counselors,
librarians and school nurses.
