* 21 -- Budget News Conference, 11 a.m., Eugene Brucker Education Center,
4100 Normal St. (92103). Supt. Bill Kowba will be joined by deputy
superintendents Dr. Nellie Meyer and Phil Stover to discuss the 2011-12
district budget. Planning will begin at that evening's Board of Education
meeting on next year's budget, which will have a projected cut of more than

* 21 -- Board of Education Special Meetings, 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Eugene
