So, it is with extra excitement that Barnard celebrates the Lunar New Year. On Wednesday, February 25, the school will have the traditional lion dance, martial arts demonstrations, classical Chinese musical performances, and performances by Barnard students. Invited guests include San Diego Mayor, Kevin Faulconer, School Board Members: Richard Barrera, Michael McQuary, Kevin Beiser, and Marne Foster, among others.

On Saturday, February 29, the public celebration will also include crafts, games, art auction, as well as fabulous performances.  The festival annually draws hundreds of people from all over the county.
